How to Join Us

Young people aged 9 to 14 (Key Stages 2 and 3) with SEN or SEMH can come to our AP for up to three days per week, with referrals welcome thoughout the year.

School or Council Referral

Young people may come to us via a referral from their school or the council (Local Authority) and are funded by them, often as part of an EHCP. If our AP is suggested as a positive fit for your young person, you are welcome to visit before they start their placement to find out more about the activities and support we offer. You can also request that your young person joins us, even if the school or LA has not included us on their shortlist.

Private Referral

We accept self-funded or EOTAS private referrals from families for young people who are out of school (not out of choice) or who have chosen to home educate due to SEN or SEMH. We will always try to be as flexible as possible if we have space in our cohort. Interested parents/carers are welcome to visit to get a better idea about whether our setting would be suitable for their young person.

Please contact ap@churchwoodforestschool.com with any enquiries.
